Denver, March 1, 2016 – At its annual donor recognition dinner held in Denver on Feb. 26, the March of Dimes Denver Market awarded Moxie Creative Communications Agency its “2015 Partner of the Year” recognition for their dedication to the nonprofit’s mission and fundraising initiatives.
The recognition is a result of Moxie CCA’s commitment to the March of Dimes’ mission to prevent babies from being born too soon. Since 2009, the company, led by President Mike Schrader, has donated time, staff and valuable resources and equipment for the purpose of increasing awareness and generating funds for the March of Dimes. Schrader served on the Colorado State Board of Directors from 2009-2012 and was chair of the communications committee. When Schrader’s involvement with the organization began, Moxie CCA started producing a yearly video highlighting the March of Dimes ambassador family and their story which is then featured at the annual Signature Chefs Auctions held in the Denver metro area. This work continues to this day.
In addition, Moxie CCA partnered with the March of Dimes in 2015 to develop a website designed to expand access to the March of Dimes’ prenatal education model “Becoming a Mom”. The intent of the website is to give women the tools and knowledge they need to have a healthy pregnancy when they are located in rural communities and urban areas where transportation might be an issue.
“It is because of the support that we receive from organizations like Moxie CCA that we can continue working to spare families from the heartbreaking experience of having a baby born too soon or too sick.“ Scott Matthews, Regional Director of Maternal Child Health Programs for the March of Dimes. “Moxie CCA plays a key role in helping our programs and services be offered to a wider audience, and reaching more pregnant women.”
